Project Story

This landscape installation focused on giving the backyard a more finished and usable framework. The goal was not just to add plants, but to create a cleaner edge around the lawn, improve privacy along the property line, and help the yard feel settled into the new rear deck and house elevation.

The installed work combines fresh sod, screening shrubs, specimen trees, mulch, and defined bed geometry to organize the space without overloading it. Planting runs the perimeter in a way that softens fences and neighboring views while preserving a broad open lawn for everyday use.

The result is a backyard that feels more intentional, more private, and much easier to read. Instead of a raw or unfinished perimeter, the property now has a clear planted structure that supports the architecture and gives the outdoor space a more complete residential finish.

Project Notes

Scope

Backyard reset with clearer structure

The install reorganizes the rear yard with a strong open lawn, planted perimeter, and cleaner relationship between the new deck, the house, and the outer property edges.

Planting Palette

Screening and soft structure

Evergreen screening shrubs and specimen trees create privacy and visual enclosure while keeping the center of the yard open and usable.

Site Logic

Defined edges around the lawn

Mulched planting beds and perimeter lines help the landscape read cleanly, reduce visual clutter, and give the property a more intentional backyard framework.

Finish

Fresh sod and finished grade

New sod completes the surface layer and ties the whole installation together, making the space feel immediately more settled and ready for daily use.
